Dealing with Nail Fungus

Nail Fungus is a subject that is of course very taboo to most people. I mean who really wants to hear about some gross fungus that invades one's nails? People that have nail fungus more than likely know all about because it is a very chronic condition and can be extremely hard to get rid of. For the people that are infected and reading this blog I hope this information will help you cure yourself! I was infected with nail fungus years ago and still have it to this day! I have spent years taking prescription drugs and trying natural remedies to try to cure myself not to mention I have spent quite a large sum of money considering my insurance never covered the drugs for this embarrassing condition. When I was first infected I tried natural remedies like tea tree oil, manuka oil, vick's vapor rub and vinegar soaks but all my efforts were all unsuccessful. After the natural products I tried Lamisil for a couple months with mild success. The Lamisil cured all my toes except for a couple and then it spread and eventually re infected the rest. Desperate to find a cure I began spending hours doing research on the internet. Much to my surprise I realized I was doing a couple things wrong. First, keeping your feet dry is half the battle with nail fungus and every time I got out of the shower I would immediately throw on my sock and shoes with wet nails! After applying a hair dryer to my nails each and every time after bathing the fungus became much more receptive to the anti fungal treatments. It also helped when I put an anti fungal powder in my socks as well so it would absorb moisture through out the day. Second, I was eating HUGE amounts of sugar and found out that fungus is fed by the sugar we consume.
